Work

I started my career as a software engineer in 2015 and moved into product management soon after. Since then, I have worked across verticals including lending, insurance, SaaS and logistics. I have built AI products that bring NLP, computer vision, Graph RAG and compound-AI systems into enterprise workflows. As the tech landscape has evolved over the last few years with the explosion of AI, my experience as a PM building with the traditional ML stack has helped me consistently deliver reliable outcomes with non-deterministic technology. My understanding of the nuances of AI products helps me focus on the core job: empathize with the users, understand the problem, make the best product choice I can and work with the team to build something useful.

How I work

I enjoy product problems where the technology is promising but the path to value is still unclear. I try to connect four things:

  1. a customer problem
  2. the capability and limits of the technology
  3. a workflow people will adopt
  4. a commercial reason for the product to exist

That has meant working across discovery, strategy, roadmaps, UX, APIs, data and model requirements, evaluation, delivery, go-to-market and enterprise adoption. I’m comfortable moving between conversations with customers, designers, engineers, data scientists, sales teams and company leadership.

In practice, especially in the last few years, this has meant searching wide for problem surfaces, going deep into promising workflows that were previously difficult to automate, assessing ROI and consistently testing the edge of frontier-model capabilities while working within the resource constraints of startups.

My AI product experience predates the current GenAI wave. It began with NLP and traditional machine learning, expanded into computer vision and human-in-the-loop systems and now includes Graph RAG, LLM and agentic workflows. I care less about attaching an AI label to a product and a lot more about whether the system is reliable, useful and worth adopting.

Manish is a rock-solid product manager and strategic thinker. I worked with him on a very technical product that he helped provide a clear business value to our customers. In addition, he has shown, he can reach out and get buy-in from various stakeholders with solid customer empathy. I would highly recommend him for leadership positions and very complex products; you will quickly see the value of adding him to your team.

As product management lead, Manish was outstanding at:

  • understanding market dynamics
  • building a buyer-centric view
  • understanding how to use emerging AI technology
  • translating that insight into a solution vision, concept, and roadmaps
  • communicating that solution to me and other execs
  • letting me debate and ask questions around his position

I found him to be a delight to work with, as did others around him. Manish gets my highest recommendation as a lead product manager for B2B tech solutions.

I have also been an Entrepreneur in Residence at Antler UK's day-zero founder residency, where I got to work with and learn from a cohort of early-stage founders selected from across the UK. I also advise founders and have been a mentor with Startupbootcamp Europe. I publish my thoughts, opinions and learnings as blog posts. Infrequently. You can find them in Writeups.

Outside work, I find my joy in food, written words and serendipitous conversations.
